Uni: lots Me:0
Dec. 13th, 2007 04:44 pmSo I handed sound it today. Despite working flat out on it for the past two days (and going to all the tutorials in the past two weeks) I had barely anything to hand in since once again we weren't working with an intuitive program. So I'm not expecting good marks from this.
It's not the end of the world though. I've got one more project to do for sound, and it's worth 50% of the module, so if I can do really well I should be able to claw my way back from the edge of disaster.
My dissertation should be renamed my disaster. I've had to change it so many times that it now has no relevance to my project, which means I'm going to be losing a shit load of marks, and I'm not interested in it at all. My tutor has basically told me what she wants to see and I'm going to be doing that, since that's the sure way to get marks.
My final project has clawed it's way back from the grave, with a few minor changes, but as I said above it bears no relevance to my dissertation so I'm going to lose marks. Also, it's not 'big' enough, it doesn't have anything that makes it unique and it needs a critical context. I've made a start on it though, so I'm at least going to get something.
I've not gone near the programming project yet because I pretty much know I can't do it. DirectX compared to the Java we were doing two years ago is like North Hill compared to Mt. Everest. They aren't even in the same league. I'm going to try, that's all I can do.
So I need a miracle to be able to pass this year. If the worst comes to the worst I'm going to see if I can restart the year in September and try again. Or just drop out.
Anyway, after that morbid time and 2 hours spent sobbing in bed I needed something to cheer me up. Thankfully Midnightvoyager provided:

I will never get over Wolverine in what amounts to a tight silver sequined t-shirt with a pink X on his belt and skinny jeans. Never.
